My son wanted to try something different for Halloween this year. The mask arrived quickly and my son set about connecting it to my tablet. He had me create a picture to upload which he was able to do with ease. We chose the model with replaceable batteries so we would not have any issues with the battery dying while in use. It comes with multiple preloaded pictures you can cycle through — some have animations too.
Purchased this from my grandson's birthday list. It was easy for him to figure out, worked great, is versatile, and fun. He is a teen and it fit him. You can create your own faces and pictures to go on it, as well as use a wide range of masks they have included.
I've had no issues with the mask that uses AA batteries. The mask doesn't look impressive close up because you see the individual LEDs, but from a distance the faces look really cool. The app leaves a little to be desired but it's not bad once you get the hang of it — there's certainly enough to get started.
Honestly, this was a bit expensive but kind of cool — it has so many different settings, different looks. The only thing is that the eye space is a bit limited, so it's worth keeping that in mind for the darker venues you'd actually want to wear it at.
